Summary
Juda Strawczynski, the Director of PracticePRO at LawPRO, will lead a discussion on the importance of developing an innovative mindset and embracing technological advances, in order to become the best possible 21st century lawyer. Juda operates from a "yes, and" perspective, acknowledging the foundational importance of law school teachings and encouraging students to also embrace the sets of skills not traditionally found in professional schools.
During the session, Juda will discuss the various keys to practical innovation, including borrowing from other fields and understanding the concept of minimum viable products (MVPs),and will help students to bridge their legal training into their career paths. He'll also share a number of resources and tips that students can put into practice right away.
To crystallize the learnings of the session, Juda will examine a number of use cases where innovation has been successfully employed, including redesigning the justice system and creating better pathways for access to justice.
